Mangaluru, Nov 3, 2022 : “The memory of death is painful, but it is the start of a new and beautiful journey”.

Love for near and dear ones is unstoppable. A day where Families and friends of the departed gather at the cemetery to pay tribute to their loved ones. It is indeed a beautiful way of remembering those who have left this world ahead of us.

At St Vincent Ferrer Church Valencia, mass began at 5.30pm on November 2. The main celebrant was parish priest Fr Roque DSa, Asst parish priest Fr Vijay Monterio, Resident Priest Fr Paul DSouza, St Antony Ashram Jeppu Asst Director Fr Rupesh Tauro and Fr William Barracas were the co-celebrants.

Fr Paul in his homily preached on the theme - “Everyone  who believes in him will be raised up at the last day, our loving departed ones are the true intercessors, who pray to God for the living".

After the mass a small prayer service was held at the cemetery which was led by Fr Roque and Fr Rupesh, followed by blessing of the graves.

Small children and Adults were seen lighting candles around the graves. The graves at the Cemetery were decorated with flowers and candles lit by the respective families and beloved members expressing their bond of love.
