Mangaluru, April 9 : Easter Vigil was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church Urwa on 08 April 2023 by the gathering of the faithful at Church Grounds. As it is the most ancient tradition, it is the night of keeping Vigil for the Lord, and the Vigil celebrated during it, commemorates the holy night of the Lord rising from the dead.

The celebration started with the blessing of the new fire and Paschal Candle denoting the significance of the Resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. From the Paschal Candle the faithful lit their candles to signify the spreading of the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ on everyone.

The Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated by the Asst. Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Johnson Pereira and concelebrated by Parish Priest Rev. Fr Benjamin Pinto, Rev. Fr Henry Sequiera, and Rev. Fr Jerome DSouza.
