Puttur, Nov 18 : The Inauguration of ICYM Unit at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Maril took place on the 17th November 2023 in the Church Hall at 5:30 pm.

The prayer was led by the Parish priest Rev.Fr. Nilesh Donald Crasta. He himself took the liberty of welcoming the Director of ICYM of Mangalore Diocese, Fr. Ashwin Cardoza and Fr. Roopesh Tauro, Director of ICYM, Puttur Deanery.

The members of the Parish finance committee were present throughout the program, along with the President and Vice -President of the Parish.

Fr. Ashwin Cardoza addressed the gathering on the importance of building an ICYM unit in the church. He briefed upon the Rules and Regulations and the Criteria required to qualify as a member of ICYM.

Election for the office bearers for the year 2023-24 took place in the presence of 26 Youth. The Office bearers are as follows:

President- Delma Lora Dcunha
Secretary- Melon Jarren Tellis
Vice Presidents: Aiston Dsouza and Prafulla Noronha
Joint Secretary- Hezil Lobo
Treasurer- Sheryln Rodrigues
Auditor- Anson Monteiro
PRO: Harshal Shown Mascarenhas

The Program concluded by honoring the Patron of ICYM, St. Gonzalo Gracia with flowers and candles, followed by Prayer of Adoration conducted by Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, which fostered a sense of Unity and Spirituality among the ICYM members.

Following the ceremony, all participants gathered for refreshments, marking the end of a successful Inauguration Day.
