Kasaragod, Aug 5 : ICYM Bela Unit organised "Vanamahotsava & Yuva Fest 2.0" on 17th July 2022 at Our Lady of Dolours church, Bela.

The day's programme began with 'Vanamahotsava' with planting of a sapling in the church compound by Rev Fr Stany Pereira along with Fr Anil Avild Lobo, Sr Marceline Braggs, Mr John Crasta and Mrs Jyothi, vice president and secretary of the parish council respectively. A sapling was handed over to gurkars of all the wards and presidents of all the associations of the parish so that they plant them in their wards to mark the occasion with a purpose of fostering an environment.

YUVA FEST-2.0

The youth of Bela Parish joyfully gathered together in the Yathri Hall to celebrate the 'Yuva Fest' - a festival of togetherness of parish youth.

The inaugural programme of 'YUVA FEST-2.0' was held at 9:30 am in Yathri Hall. Fr Rupesh madtha, designated editor of Raknno, was the chief guest of the programme.

Sr. Marcellin Braggs, Superior of Capitanio convent, John Crasta, Vice President of parish pastoral council, Maxi Rosten DSouza, president of ICYM, Kasaragod deanery, Glen Preethesh D'Souza , president of ICYM Bela unit and Benita Crasta, secretary of ICYM, Bela shared the honour of the dais.

Glen P D'Souza, president of ICYM Bela welcomed the guests and participants.

After the inaugural program, Rev. Fr. Rupesh Madtha who also was the resource person for the day, conducted sessions through various activities. His talk accompanied by games helped the participants to learn the nuances of self esteem and good relationships. His session encouraged and motivated the youth to lead their lives in a progressive and better way.

At 1.30pm, all the youth took part in the sumptuous lunch.

In the afternoon session, games were conducted by Bro Vinol, Sr Christella and Jossy Crasta. The cultural programme was organised by the youth.

At the end, Benita Crasta, secretary of ICYM Bela proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended at 4:30 pm.
