Kasargod : ICYM Bela unit holds Farewell Ceremony for Fr John Vas

Kasargod, July 12 : "He came, He saw and he Conquered hearts of Bela Parishioners".

Fr. John Vas , who had been the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Dolours Church Bela for the last three years, was given a warm send off on Sunday, 11th July 2021 at 10.00am in the church mini hall.

A brief send-off program started with a Prayer . Maxi Rosten Dsouza , President ICYM Bela unit welcomed the guests and the gathering.

John Dsouza, Vice president parish council , Sr. Carmin Superior -Capitanio Convent , Sr. Annie Superior - Dominican convent highlighted his achievements, his service to the institutions, church and expressed their gratitude for his selfless service.

Fr. John Vas has touched the hearts of many Bela parishioners during his tenure as a Parish Priest and that will be cherished by all those who had very close encounters with him.

Mr Rayan Pradeep read the honour letter. Mr John Dsouza felicitated Fr John Vas and both Superiors of the convent. Jyothi , Secretary Parish Council presented the flower garland to Fr John. Honour letter was presented by Rayan and ICYM memento was given by President - Maxi.

In his address to the Parishioners, Fr. John Vas with a joyful heart thanked all ICYM members and well wishers for their support and cooperation during his period from 2018.

Johnson proposed a vote of thanks and Shiny Maria Secretary - ICYM Bela unit compered the program.
