Our Lady Of Mercy Church, Manjeshwar was earlier part of Panir parish and came into existence as independent parish in 1919.
Inauguration and blessing of newly-built Church :
Newly-built Our Lady of Mercy Church, Manjeshwar was blessed and inaugurated on May 22, 2018. Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius Paul DSouza was the main celebrant of the mass. Bishop Robert Michael Miranda of Gulbarga delivered a meaningful homily. Parish Priest Rev Fr Valerian Lewis & many other priests concelebrated. Large number of faithful attended the celebration.
The mass was followed by a stage programme.
Centenary celebration of the church :
Our Lady of Mercy Church, Manjeshwar celebrated Centenary celebration on May 2, 2019. Bishop of Mangalore Dr Peter Paul Saldanha was the main celebrant of the mass. Bishop Robert Michael Miranda of Gulbarga delivered a meaningful homily. Parish Priest Rev Fr Valerian Lewis & many other priests concelebrated. Large number of faithful attended the celebration.
