Bantwal, Sep 21 : ICYM Siddakatte unit in association with Youth Commission organized "YUVA MERAKI - 2022" for all the youth of St. Patrick Church, Siddakatte in the church hall on 18th of September, 2022. The program began at 10AM in the morning.

Rev Fr. Daniel Dsouza, Parish priest and director of ICYM unit Siddakatte; Rev Fr. Prem Cutinho, Director of Moodbidri deanery; Royson Sequeira, the Chief guest; Aman Cutinha, Vice-President Moodbidri deanery; Sunil Noronha, Coordinator of all Commissions; Renisha Dcosta, Deanery Red drop representative; Lynn Dcosta, Unit president and Jasmine Lobo, Unit Secretary were the dignitaries of the Inaugural function.

Unit president Lynn Dcosta welcomed the dignitaries. Fr. Daniel Dsouza gave his presidential speech, followed by Fr. Prem Cutinho who spoke about the importance of this program. The Chief guest Royson Sequeira gave a true definition to the word 'Success' and inspired the youth by saying 'we should learn to believe in ourselves.' Also felicitated Renisha Dcosta for being elected as the Deanery Red drop representative. Later, Unit secretary Jasmine Lobo proposed the vote of thanks.

The resource person for the day was Sub Inspector Sukesh KP, from Punjalkatte Police Station who gave a very informative talk on drugs and Social media by sharing some of the realistic incidents.

Fr. Prem conducted a fun activity for the youth present and rest of the games and activities were organized by the Unit executive members.

Post lunch, Mr. Praveen Cutinha, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council conducted a very tricky quiz. By the end of the program, the winning team was congratulated.

Rev Fr. Lency, Pradeep Ferrao, the former Red drop representative ICYM central council and Joel Crasta paid a small visit to the program.

Around 52 youth including the YCS actively took part in the program.
