Moodbidri, Aug 3 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Hospet unit organized Vanamahotsav on Sunday, 31st July 2022. The program began at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Church, Hospet premises with Cultural Secretary Leslie Preston D’Souza being the host.

Rev Fr Gregory D’Souza , Parish Priest presided over the program along with Br. Joel Monteiro; Vincent Santhmayor - Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council ; Selwin Jude Colaco, Denis Fernandes, and Leena Tellis - Animators ICYM Hospet Unit.

Unit President Melisha Mendonca welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr Gregory D’Souza addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of Vanamahotsav. Br Joel Monteiro also shared his thoughts on the significance of the program.

Thereafter, saplings were handed to dignitaries and each Ward Gurkars. The dignitaries, along with ICYM members planted the saplings around the church premises as a symbol of Vanamahotsav.

The program came to an end with a vote of gratitude from Unit Secretary Perlin Tellis.
