Moodbidri, Aug 19, 2023 : Feast of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Independence Day was celebrated with devotion and fervor at St Francis Xavier parish Saverapura on August 15. Parish Priest Rev Fr Noel Mascarenhas celebrated mass and Rev Fr Ashwil Dias concelebrated. Fr Noel delivered a meaningful homily.

Mass was followed by a Flag Hoisting ceremony. Fr Ashwil hoisted the national flag whereas Fr Noel delivered an apt message highlighting the importance of Independence. He also thanked ICYM members and parishioners for the arrangements.

Large number of faithful attended the ceremony. Sweets were distributed to the gathering.
