Month-long Cleanliness Drive organised by ICYM Gantalkatte unit

Moodbidri, Nov 5 : On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, ICYM unit of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Gantalkatte inaugurated ' Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ' and decided to dedicate this month to spread awareness about reducing the usage of plastic and keeping the surroundings clean. So they conducted few programmes :

1. They distributed cloth bags to the parishioners as a initiative to reduce plastic bags usage

2. ICYM in collaboration with inter religious commission sponsored 2 waste bin trolleys to the church and also they cleaned church premises and surroundings as a part of clean drive

3. Finally they enacted a street play called ' Swachhavirali Mane Mana ' to spread the awareness among the people to reduce plastic usage and use Environmental friendly products
