April 12 : On the occasion of the Lenten season, Indian Catholic Youth Movement St. Matthew’s Deanery Moodbidri in association with the Indian Catholic Youth Movement Shirthady Unit organised “Taize” at Mount Carmel Church Shirthady on Sunday, 2nd April 2023 at 6.30PM.

Taize prayer was led by Fr.Ronald Prakash Dsouza Parish Priest of Gantalkatte Church.

Taize prayer centered around the Holy Cross, which involves recital of hymns, special prayers on the intentions of individuals, meditation, liturgical readings and adoration of the Holy Cross.

The altar of the Holy Cross was beautifully decorated with lightened lamps. 90 minutes of prayerful session amidst the lit lamps gave a wonderful and divine experience to all with Jesus.

The event was honoured by the presence of Mr.Winston Sequiera - Vice President ICYM Central Council, Diocese Of Mangalore and Mr.Jaison Pereira - Former President ICYM Karnataka Region.

Mr. Mithesh D’Souza – President of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery rendered a vote of thanks to the gathering.
