Mysuru, June 5 : St Anthony's Basilica, Dornahalli is all set to celebrate the annual feast of St Anthony on 13th June 2022. In preparation to this, nine days of Novena was inaugurated on Saturday 4th June. The novena began with the flag hoisting ceremony at 5:30pm by the Bishop Emeritus of Mysore Most Rev Dr Thomas Antony Vazhapilly followed by the novena, preaching and Eucharistic mass.

Everyday novena, preaching and Eucharistic mass will be conducted at 5:30pm. On 5th June Sunday, by Rev. Msgr. Alfred J. Mendonca, Vicar General, Diocese of Mysore; On 6th June Monday, by Rev. Msgr. Dominic Vas , Episcopal Vicar for Religious Congregation, Diocese of Mysore; On 7th June Tuesday, by Rev. Dr. Bernard Prakash Barnis , Rector, St. Philomena Educational Institutions, Mysuru; On 8th June Wednesday, by Rev. Fr. Madalai Muthu , Treasurer, Mysore Diocesan Educational Society and on 9th June Thursday, by Rev. Fr. Michael Mari , Parish Priest, St. Joseph's church, Siddapura. The eucharistic celebrations are celebrated along with novenas.

From 10th June 2022 Friday to 12th June 2022 Sunday, Rev. Fr. Roman Pinto, Bro T.K. George and his team will be leading the faithful into special preaching, prayers and adoration from 9:30am to 8:30pm.

Last two years it was not possible to celebrate the feast of St Anthony along with people due to COVID-19 disease. But this year it's a great pleasure to celebrate the feast along with the devotees.

On behalf of St Anthony's Basilica, Dornahalli , Rector Rev.Fr.N.T. Joseph and Administrator Rev.Fr. Isaac heartily welcome the beloved devotees along with their family members for the Annual feast of St. Anthony and to obtain God's blessings through him. They have also requested the people to follow COVID-19 rules.
