Goa, Nov 19 : The Communication Annual Day was celebrated on 15th November 2022, at Sancoale by Holy Family Communication Centre, to mark the Founder’s Day of the Holy Family Sisters in Goa. It was a half day event organised for the Holy Family Education Society Schools, Social Centre’s, Boardings, Formees and Sisters teaching in the school.

The program began at 2.30pm with an abstract painting on - Antidote for loneliness - for students of V-VII; Pot Painting on the theme ‘Stay Connected’ for Formees and Garland making for the boarders. During the live activity, the already prepared Umbrella Decoration for Pre-Primary and Bottle decoration for children of social centres, Altar and Table cloth for Women and Girls of the social centres on the theme: ‘Stay Connected’ was judged by the judges.

The second half of the event on-stage performance: Fancy Dress competition on - Social media icons, for the Primary; Elocution competition on – Meta Verse a Boon or a Bane for VIII-X and Sisters teaching in the school – Foster vocations in School, on stage performance was staged.

The directress, Sr. Molly Fernandes sfn, addressed the gathering and said, “You have taken time to truly listen, which communicates your love and respect, and even more than your spoken words, which indeed is a sign of being connected, as I acknowledge your esteemed presence. 
For I am delighted, Fernandes said, to have you here today as we mark The Communication Annual day celebration remembering Fr. Faustino de Souza, our Founder, a lover of children”. The team members welcomed the dignitaries with a potted plant.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Cardoz sj, said a few words of appreciation and encouragement applauding the efforts put in to give such a splendid performance and the need to stay connected.

Mr. Cedric Serpes, professor at GIM, Sanquelim-Goa said, “An unforgettable evening of celebration, with multifaceted talent display – song dance, art, rhetoric and a deep learning about communication today and in the near future”.

Joshua D Souza, a student of St. Britto’s High School Mapusa expressed, “I am captivated to see and listen to the kids and student’s eloquent speeches with excellent intonation and precise synopsis. The topics they spoke about were presented beautifully and understable and I am happy that I had an opportunity to be part of this event”.

Mr. Desmond D Souza, professor at Vrindavan Nursing College, Colvale exclaimed : "Awe-inspiring and educative presentation, Remarkable art and enthralling performance! Well organised event. Congratulations!”

The judges for the day did the daunting task while the schools were robbed of places with a slight margin of 1 mark as every participant put on an excellent show in the different competitions mentioned above.

Sr. Gracy Vaz thanked the Heads of Schools and other faculties, Management, staff and parents for their efforts put in to make this day a success and a memorable one.

The winners were accorded with Trophies and other prizes. The Rolling trophy went to St Michael’s Convent High Anjuna. The program was compered by Sr. Francila Mascarenhas.
