LCS holds Founder’s Day and Re-opening of Classes VI - VIII (Vidyaagama)

Mangaluru, Feb 4 : "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase” - Martin Luther King Jr.

Founder's day was celebrated in Lourdes Central School in the city with great zeal on 4th February 2021. The joy doubled when the students of class VI to VIII were welcomed back to school on the same occasion.

The programme commenced with the blessings of God Almighty and a welcome song. Mr.Ivan Mascarenhas led the choir group comprising class IX students.

Megan D'souza of class IX spoke on the significance of the day and said that the motive of our founder was to provide value-based education to all.

The dignitaries on the dais, Rev, Dr. J B Saldanha, the Manager, Rev. Fr. Robert D’Souza, the Principal and Ms. Belita Mascarenhas, the Vice Principal offered floral tribute to the Late founder.

Ms. Saira Pinto reminisced about the great deeds, selfless contributions and highlighted the values of discipline, punctuality and dedication of our Founder.

The Principal, Rev. Fr. Robert Dsouza welcomed the students of Classes 6 to 8and appreciated the efforts of parents and teachers. He recalled the memories of our founder and inspired us to inculcate the values he taught.

The Manager, Rev Dr John Baptist Saldanha was indeed happy to see the students in school in large numbers and appreciated them, their parents and the entire staff of LCS for their sincere efforts and asked them to continue their life with positivity, and sensitivity to the needs of people around. He motivated the students to be disciplined, obedient and respectful people. He also appreciated the Principal, Rev Fr Robert D souza for his hard efforts in the development of the school.

The Vice Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas explained the rules of etiquette and Ms. Anita Thomas briefed the Covid-19 safety norms.

The programme concluded by singing the School Anthem. Raizel Dsilva and Steve D’mello of class IX compered the programme under the guidance of Ms. Shamitha Machado.
