Mangaluru, Jan 30 : “Be The Change You Wish To See In The World” - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Peace Day or Martyrs' Day was observed in St. Agnes CBSE School, Bendur on 30th January 2021, to pay homage to the victims who sacrificed their lives and fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of the country. The programme commenced with a prayer service led by the teachers, invoking the blessings of the Almighty for peace and harmony in our country. A beautiful message was given by the students in the form of dance. An emotional feeling of humanity was created when the students raised their thrilling voices through a song. The significance of the day was given by Reishan Maria of grade III and Arlynn Sequeira of grade X. The students depicted various quotes of great personalities there by resolving to be better persons in their homes and neighbourhood so that the country can radiate peace. One minute silence in memory of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was observed at 11.00 am.

Competitions on harmony and peace were organised for the students of lower classes on account of Martyrs' Day/ Peace Day. The students actively participated in a very creative manner. Various online Competitions such as drawing and model making on symbol of peace and collage making on peace and harmony.

By celebrating this event the students developed love and respect for the Martyrs and felt a sense of responsibility towards the country.
