Mangaluru, Nov 26 : To commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India, St. Agnes CBSE School here celebrated the Constitution Day on 26th November 2020. The day began by invoking God’s blessings on the entire nation. The prayer service was concluded by singing the hymn ‘ Bless our country Lord God of power and might’ .

The significance of the day and the song on the preamble of the Constitution was presented creatively through a Powerpoint presentation. The teachers participated in the celebration at 11.am when the live programme was telecasted from Kevadia, Gujarat and joined with the President Ram Nath Kovind in reading the preamble and reaffirming to uphold the ideology of the constitution. A mark of tribute was given to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the first law minister of India, who played an important role in framing the constitution.

The preamble of the constitution, the Constitutional values and the national symbols were creatively displayed on the stage. The students were also encouraged to watch and participate in the live telecast programme. During the online classes the teachers spoke about the significance of the preamble, and the fundamental rights and duties. Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C thanked the teachers for their participation. The day ended with the singing of the national anthem.
