Mangaluru, Nov 21 : 19th November 2019 marks a very important day for the Apostolic Carmel congregation in Mangaluru. It was on this day 150 years ago that Venerable Mother Veronica of the Passion sent forth her three comrades to sow the seeds of the order in Mangaluru.

St Agnes CBSE School in the city, ushered in this special occasion with a special prayer service conducted by the Carmel Blossoms of the school. The prayer service highlighted the significance of the Apostolic Carmel congregation worldwide and the services they have rendered in the field of education and community service.

During the afternoon session there was a get together organised in celebration of this day. This was followed by a short programme to memorialize the works of the congregation under the guidance of Mother Veronica. All the catholic students from STD 6th to 9th gathered around the entrance of the school. The Initiated Carmel Blossoms released balloons and sang hymns in honour of Mother Veronica as they cheered the spirit of a true Carmelites.

This commemoration brought moments of pride and gratitude among the staff and students.
