Mangaluru, Apr 26, 2019 : The National President of All India Catholic Union (AICU) Lancy D’Cunha expressing solidarity with the victims of most ghastly serial bomb blasts in Sri Lanka’s Churches and hotels on Easter Sunday said “The members of AICU unequivocally condemn the dastardly and anti-human act. Attack on religious places that too during religious festivals such as Easter is anti-God and anti-civilization. To associate such persons with any faith would be most sacrilegious to the faith of their own. Therefore, members of AICU appeal to people of all faiths must disown and condemn such barbarous individuals and groups.”

The members further appealed to the governments and law-enforcement agencies across the globe to be more vigilant and take effective precautionary measures making it impossible for any terrorist groups to play havoc with life and property of civil society.

 

Sri Lanka being our immediate neighbor, the members propose to form a high-level delegation consisting of various faiths to explore the possibilities of cooperation and to express our solidarity with the bereaved families.

The members of AICU appeal to Sri Lankan Government to conduct a thorough enquiry and take stern action against these persons and groups responsible for ghastly serial bomb blasts.

The members sincerely hope and pray that peace loving citizens of universe irrespective of their religion, caste and creed to come forward for saving the humanity and maintain social harmony and peace in the world.
