Perpetual Succour Convent High School urges all to 'BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION AND NOT POLLUTION'

Navelim, July 5 : 'INTERNATIONAL PLASTIC BAG FREE DAY' was celebrated at Perpetual Succour Convent High School , Navelim on July 03 2023, to create awareness of the detrimental impact plastic bags have on the well-being of the plant life, wildlife, humans and the entire environment.

The day started with a meaningful prayer service highlighting the harm caused to the environment due to the use and improper disposal of plastic. Various class activities were organised for students such as slogan writing , poster making, composing poems and display of alternatives to plastic. The students displayed a variety of eco- friendly bags which can be a smart alternative to the plastic bags.

The Headmistress of the school, Rev Sr Liberata Fernandes who is known to be an environmental enthusiast, urged the students to reduce the plastic footprint and work towards a clean and plastic free school environment.
