Mangaluru, June 20 : The “Investiture Ceremony” of St. Mary’s English Higher Primary School for the academic year 2023-24 was held on 17th June in the school auditorium. The school was privileged to have Mrs. Kavitha Ashok, a Yogini, as the chief guest along with Sr. Maisie A.C. the Headmistress being present for the occasion.

The event began with a formal march of the New Cabinet members along with the dignitaries. The school band added luster to the occasion. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a Prayer song, followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, Cabinet Animators Trs. Veera and Plabita, SPL Sherlyn Mascarenhas and ASPL Hajira Musba. The inauguration was done in an unique way where the Alma Mater spoke to the school cabinet and entrusted to them their duties. The oath of the office for the school cabinet was administered by the Headmistress. The student council was given the sash and the badge by the dignitaries. Mrs. Kavitha Ashok the chief guest congratulated the student cabinet and gave an inspiring message on the role of a leader and advised them to be the good leaders of the contemporary world.

The school Headmistress Sr. Maisie welcomed and congratulated the chief guest for the record being in the ‘Sirsa Padmasana Yoga Pose’ for the longest duration as confirmed on March 23rd, 2023 in India Book of Records.

To cherish the memory of the day, 40 students of St. Mary’s Kannada Higher Primary School were given a set of Uniform, stationery, water bottles and umbrella by the school management.

The school pupil leader Sherlyn Mascarenhas gave a motivational speech and the ASPL Hajira Musba proposed the Vote of Thanks. Rebecca Dcunha and Kaushik J. Rai of class VII compered the programme.
