In a powerful display of faith and unity, thousands of young pilgrims gathered at Rome’s historic Circus Maximus for the Jubilee of Youth’s “Penitential Day.” The ancient arena was transformed into an open-air confessional space, with over 200 confession stations and 1,000 priests hearing confessions in more than 10 languages—including English, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, German, Hungarian, Slovak, Korean, and Chinese. Young pilgrims described the sacrament as a moment of healing and a reminder that we can return to God's grace. A priest who spoke to EWTN News said the Sacrament of Reconciliation offers young people an opportunity to seek healing and look forward—not back—on what may be preventing them from living a fulfilling life. The Jubilee of Youth’s “Penitential Day” served as a powerful spiritual renewal for all who seek it. EWTN Vatican Correspondent Valentina Di Donato has more.
