Mangaluru, Oct 12 : Mr. Somashekar, Karnataka Tourism District Officer paid visit to the Bishop of Mangalore, Dr Peter Paul Saldanha and shared few important details about the Tourism Department. Fr Vijay Lobo, PRO of the diocese was present.

Visit to Holy Cross Church, Kulshekar

Parish Priest Fr Victor Machado welcomed Mr. Somashekar cordially and Mr. Michael Dsouza , Vice President, Mr. Lancy Sequeira , Secretary briefed him about Prad Saib and the campus.

Visit to Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte

Mr. Somashekar was warmly welcomed by Fr Rovel D’souza , Shrine Director and led everyone into a short prayer. He was escorted around the campus and more details were presented. Fr Lancy Louis, Fr Tony Pinto, Fr Steven Lobo were present.

Visit to Bethany Mother House, Bendore

The next visit of Mr. Somashekar was to the heritage cottage of Monsignor Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas , Founder of Bethany Congregation. Sr Rose Celine the Superior General warmly welcomed the guest and briefed about the heritage cottage and the place around. Sr. Lillis Asst Superior General , Sr Shanthi Priya, Sr. Mariette, Sr. Lillita General Counselor, Sr. Jyothi and Sr. Sirisha were present.

Visit to St Anthony Ashram , Jeppu

Fr Onil Dsouza, Director of St Anthony Ashram welcomed the visitors and briefed about the campus and its assistance for the poor and took them all around the Ashram. Fr Alban Dsouza, Administrator, Rev Fr Roshan Dsouza, Asst Director and Mr. John Tauro were present.

Visit to St Joseph’s Shrine, Mudipu

Fr Benjamin Dsouza , Shrine Director welcomed the guests and after a short prayer, briefed them about St. Joseph Vaz and his miracles. Mr. Naveen Dsouza Vice president, Mrs Irene Veigas Secretary led the visitors around the campus and briefed them about the Holy Place. Arun Dsouza, Marcel Dsouza and Rajat Veigas , members of the Parish Council were present.

Visit to Rishivana in Ranipura

Rev Dr Archibald Gonsalves cordially welcomed the guests and briefed them with the details of the place existing amidst the beautiful scenery. Fr Wilfred Rodrigues, Fr Lancy Mendonca, Fr John Lobo, Fr Vivian Menezes were present.

Mr. Somashekar visited various religious places in Mangaluru accompanied by Mr. Stanly Bantwal throughout the day.
