Madanthyar, Jan 02, 2022 : Inter religious harmony is very important for the development of any society or country. Therefore the Inter religious commission of Belthandady deanery organised inter-religious dialogue named "Christmas Sauharda Koota" on 30th December 2021 at Madanthyar Church basement hall.

The programme began at 3:00PM with a prayer dance. Then the English medium school children performed a school tableau, YCS students played a skit on religious harmony and patriotism. After these two performances, the guests were invited on the stage. Fr Basil Vas, Coordinator of Inter-Religious Commission of the deanery welcomed the gathering.

Most Rev. Bishop Lawrence Mukkuzhy was the chief guest. Sri Sri Sri Mohandas Paramahamsa Swamiji and Mr Anees Kausar were the guests of honor. All the speakers spoke on the importance of Religion. They stressed that every religion teaches to love and not to hate.

Later on three social service workers were honored in the presence of all. They were: Mr Abdul Jaleel (Jeeva Rakshaka) for his service in saving life, especially during Covid; Snake Joy (Reptile lover) for saving thousands of snakes and Mr Padmanabha Salian for his service to the society.

FInally Mr Vivek Vincent Pais thanked the gathering and the programme concluded by singing National anthem.
