Madanthyar: Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and New Year celebrated

Madanthyar, Jan 01, 2022 : Year 2021 was full of ups and downs due to Covid pandemic. Many people lost their loved ones. And as we were about to say goodbye to 2021, all parishioners gathered together to praise God and offer Him Thanksgiving.

At 6:30pm on 31st December, one hour adoration of the blessed sacrament was conducted by Rev Fr Basil Vas.

After the holy hour, at 7:30pm, Holy Eucharist was celebrated. Rev Fr Deepak Dsa presided over the Eucharist. Rev Fr Jerome D'Souza preached a meaningful homily and stressed the importance of Mother Mary in the life of Jesus, our life and her part in the salvation history.

Around 1500 parishioners were present and everyone exchanged the new year greetings.
