Madanthyar, Nov 30 : Sacred Heart Church here celebrated the Annual Feast on 28th November 2021, with the theme of Synod in mind. The theme picked for this year was "ಎಕ್ವಟಾನ್, ಸಾಂಗಾತ್ಪಣಾನ್ ಆನಿ ಮೆತೆರ್ ಪಣಾನ್ ಫಿರ್ಗಜೆಂತ್ ಜೆಜುಚೆಂ ಮಿಸಾಂವ್ ಮುಂದರುಯಾಂ".

In the morning the festal celebration began by Mass at 7:00AM. At 9:00AM the donors were honored and also the winners of speech / elocution competitions were awarded with prizes.

At 9:15AM, two of the parishioners were honored for their great achievement. The first one was Mrs Beena Fernandes who bagged many gold medals in various athletics event held at National level.
Second person was the church sacristan, Mr Mark Menezes. He rendered his service to the church as a sacristan for 15 long years. The church recognized his selfless service to the church and was honored by all the priests and lay leaders.

Finally, the festal Mass was held at 9:30AM. Main celebrant was Rev Fr Stany Pinto, Campus director of St Philomena College, Puttur. During his homily he stressed upon the importance of each individual in the Church. He said that in the church all are people of God and everyone contributes for the growth of the church. He elaborated and explained with the words of St Paul, where he says that Christ is the head and we constitute various parts of the body. So each part is important for the functioning of the body.

Finally Fr Basil Vas, Parish Priest thanked everyone who rendered their service to make this day a successful one.
