The much-anticipated Teachers’ Day was observed in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga on Sunday, 12 th September, 2021.

The day got initiated with a Thanksgiving Mass – a Liturgy manifesting the unity of the whole congregation around the Table of the Lord, at 7.30 am by Very Rev Fr Anil D Mello, Parish Priest.

Fr Anil in his Inspirational Homily, woven around the theme "Suffering is the True Cement of Love" propounded the significance of Knowing and Imitating Christ that is to Experience Christ Personally through citing of the Lives of Saints and in the Light of the Day’s Readings and Gospel. Further he annotated the significance of Eucharist and the Virtues of Love, Sacrifice and Service practiced by Jesus to be put into action by every believer to deepen one’s faith in the Lord. Fr Anil iterated "Let the Eucharistic Sacrifice open up a new vista of joy, fulfilment and serenity to the Retired Mentors and for the present Educators let the Eucharistic Sacrifice be a source of strength and hope to develop a humane sensitivity to Love, Share, Cope, Hope Positively". The Homily aided the faithful to draw out gems of wisdom and insight. It was indeed a thought-provoking Homily. The Liturgy was meaningfully led by the Teachers and the Young Catholic Students (YCS) harmonious Choir conducted by Arvin Seth D Souza received commendation from the Parish Priest and the Parishioners.
