Mangaluru, Oct 8 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Unit of St Lawrence Church, Bondel organized UDHKANTH UDKANA 2022, interward competition on 2 nd October 2022 at 3:00 pm at church grounds. Registration was conducted at 2:30 pm and 12 teams registered for the same.

The event "UDHKANTH UDKANA " began with prayer service conducted by the ICYM members. Joxim D'cuhna the President of Bondel Unit welcomed the guest and gathering.

Inaugural function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza - Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese , Rev. Fr. Peter Gonsalves - Assistant Director of ICYM Bondel Unit , Rev . Fr. Lancy D'Souza - Assistant parish priest of St. Lawrence Church bondel, Br. Stephen , Anil Borimar - President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese , Mrs. Zeena Cornelio - Animator of ICYM Bondel Unit, Joxim D'cuhna - The President of ICYM Bondel Unit , Avril Olive Misquith - Secretary of ICYM Bondel Unit. Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza gave a beautiful message to all the gatherings.

The people of ICYM Bondel celebrated post birthday of Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D'Souza and Rev. Fr. Lancy D'Souza.

Avril Olive Misquith the secretary of ICYM Bondel Unit proposed vote of thanks. All the well wishers and the ones who sponsored were honoured.

Anil John Sequeira the President of ICYM Mangalore, Philomena Fernandes the Public Relations Officer of ICYM Mangalore Diocese , Joel Lancy Crasta the Amcho Yuvak Editor , Winston Joel Sequeira the Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese and Melston Wilfred Noronha the Auditor were present in this event.

The games were conducted by Alrick D'silva. Winston Joel Sequeira and Melston Wilfred Noronha served as referee of the event .
Various games were conducted for the participants. The games were categorised into singles , duet and group . Melston Wilfred Noronha and Winston Joel Sequeira were honoured for their service. St. Vincent de Paul ward bagged 1st place and Lourdes ward bagged 2nd place.

All the participants were served refreshments. The event ended with a rain dance and baila at around 6:30.
