Moodbidri, Jan 10 : ICYM Moodbidri unit conducted "Corpus Christi Cup - 2022" Deanery level interparish volleyball tournament on 2nd January 2022 at Carmel convent ground here.

Inaugural programme was presided by Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira, Parish priest and Vicar Forane of Moodbidri deanery. Other guests on the dias were Mr. John Menezes, Vice president, Parish Pastoral Council, Sr. Priya Maria, Superior Carmel Convent and Mr. Avish Saldanha, Animator ICYM Moodbidri unit.  Joyston Dsouza, President ICYM Moodbidri unit welcomed the gathering.

Total of 12 teams actively participated in the tournament. Team Taccode emerged as champions of the tournament whereas Team Moodbidri were the runners-up of the tournament.

Rodney Moras of Taccode won the best passer , Anish Cardoza of Moodbidri got the best attacker and Rayan of Taccode won the best all-rounder awards.

Valedictory function was presided over by Sr. Priya Maria A. C who distributed the trophies to the winners. Mr. Avish Saldanha, Animator of ICYM unit was present. Viyola Lasrado proposed the vote of thanks and Ishal Rebello compered the inaugural programme. Joyston Dsouza compered the valedictory programme.
