Moodbidri, Jan 6 : In anticipation of the new year, Adoration of Blessed Sacrament and Thanksgiving for the year 2022 was conducted by the sisters of Carmel and Morning Star Convent on Saturday 31st December at 9.00 p.m.

At 10.00 p.m. Oath Taking by the New elected - Vice President-Vincent Dsouza, Secretary - Norbert Martis, Finance Council members-Marcel Dsouza, Clifford Dcosta & Nancy Dsilva was conducted. After the oath all other Parish Council Members came forward and made a promise to serve the parish faithfully.

The New Year's Mass celebration took place next . After the Mass ex Vice President John Menezes, ex Secretary Ronald Serrao were honoured in the portico with shawl and garland by the Parish Priest V. Rev. Fr. Onil Dsouza. He highlighted and thanked them for the six years of service given by them to the parish.

ICYM arranged to distribute prizes to the winners of Christmas competitions. People wished each other "Happy New Year" and shared cake & malt. Old Parish Council members distributed cake & malt.
