Moodbidri, Dec 25 : Christmas feast was celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church , Saverapura on the eve of 24 December 2022 with devotion and fervor. The religious ceremony began with Carol singing at 7pm followed by solemn festal mass at 7.30 pm. Redemptorist Father Richard Fernandes was the main celebrant of the mass whereas Parochial Administrator Fr Rakesh Mathias , Fr Dony Cardoza and Fr Vivian concelebrated. Fr Richard delivered a meaningful homily.

After the mass, ICYM Saverapura youth organised "Nathalam Sambhram '' and entertained the people with Santa visit, dance, tableau , cake auction, cock auction and more.

Since Diocesan Pastoral Parishad is celebrating its Golden jubilee year, Saverpura Gurkar's, Vice-presidents, Secretaries from 1991 (Chapel formation) were honoured for their service. Donors , well-wishers of the feast were also honoured.

Fr Rakesh thanked the faithful for their whole hearted support in smooth execution of the feast. Refreshments were served to the gathering.
