Moodbidri, Aug 26 : As part of the Jubilee Year celebrations, Bible Commission of St. Matthew Deanery, Moodbidri, organized a Bible Quiz competition at the Corpus Christi Church hall, Moodbidri on August 24, 2025. The event brought together enthusiastic participants from all 14 parishes of the deanery, with each parish represented by a six-member team.

Vicar Forane of Moodbidri Deanery V. Rev. Fr. Onil Dsouza conducted prayer service and declared the Bible Quiz open.

The quiz was conducted by Rev. Fr. Rupesh Tauro, who skillfully guided the participants through a range of thought-provoking and challenging rounds based on the Holy Bible. The competition not only tested the knowledge of the contestants but also served as an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Scripture and foster unity among the parishes.

After a closely contested event, Holy Cross Church, Hospet, emerged as the winners of the Bible Quiz competition, securing the top place with their commendable performance. The program concluded with words of encouragement and gratitude by Rev Fr. Noel Mascarenhas CSsR , the Coordinator of Deanery Bible Commission.
