Manjotty - Belthangady , Aug 24, 2025 : On Sunday, August 17, ICYM Manjotty unit put on an exciting event for the parishioners called “AQUA FLASH” in the premises of Manjotty church.

Members of ICYM Manjotty had organized water games for the parishioners and had begun forming groups at 1:30 p.m. Following the formation of the groups, the event started with a guest welcome.

The event mainly focused on uniting the parishioners of Manjotty and was a day fully planned for water games and fun activities and Traditional ‘Aati dishes’ (Pathrode, Ponsachi poli) were set up in collaboration with the Parish Women's Association.

As part of the inauguration ceremony, a vertical banner of "AQUAFLASH 2025" was designed and was rolled up with flowers. Pulling the ribbon opened the banner during the ceremony. This creative gesture not only added a touch of fun to the event but also symbolized the vibrant and dynamic spirit of the unit.

Mr. Vinod Rodrigues ICYM unit President welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Paul Sebastian Dsouza ICYM unit director, Mr. Mark Dsouza Parish council Vice president, Mrs. Irene Sequeira parish council secretary, Mr. Vinod Pinto coordinator of the commissions, Mrs. Meena Sequeira President of Parish Women’s organization. Mr. Vinod Rodrigues ICYM unit president, Mr. Kiran Miranda ICYM unit secretary were the guests of the day.

Rev. Fr. Paul Sebastian Dsouza highlighted the importance of traditional dishes prepared during the Aati month and also shared about his childhood memories playing water games and congratulated ICYM members for bringing up such activity to unite Parishioners.

Several group games were conducted throughout the afternoon and in the evening, trophies were given to the best performing groups and everyone enjoyed rain dance at the end. The day was packed with fun, energy and enthusiasm.

Ms.Melisha Pinto emceed the programme and Mr. Kiran Miranda unit secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
