Omzoor, Aug 20 : The ICYM Omzoor unit organized the most anticipated 'Pavsanth Udkana - 2025', a monsoon- themed water games event, on 17th August 2025 at 2:30 pm at the premises of Holy Family School, Omzoor.

The event began with a prayer song sung by the ICYM members, summoning the divine powers of the Almighty.

Gracing the dais were Rev. Fr. William Menezes, the Parish Priest and ICYM Director; Fr.Victor, the residential priest and ICYM assistant director; Mr. Arthur Dsouza, the President of PPC; Mrs. Dafny Lewis, the Secretary of PPC; Mr. Elroy Saldanha, ICYM animator; Mr. Dean Jones Vas, President of ICYM Omzoor and Ms. Henrietta Sequeira, Secretary of ICYM Omzoor.

The dignitaries were welcomed by the ICYM president, Mr. Dean Jones Vas with welcoming shawls bestowed upon them in recognition of their presence.

During his address, Mr. Arthur Dsouza emphasized the importance of fun in the midst of our everyday life.

Rev. Father William Menezes gave the Presidential Address, highlighting the significance of the occasion.

As part of the inauguration ceremony, a scroll was presented to the dignitaries, who then unveiled it. As a highlight of the program, a flash mob performance was presented, creating an element of surprise and enthusiasm among the gathering.

To delight the children, a rain shower was turned on, and the kids including the adults enjoyed playing under it with great enthusiasm.

Team leaders and team members were selected fairly and water games were conducted on the grounds, where participants took part enthusiastically in fun-filled activities that promoted teamwork and created a lively atmosphere.

Mr. Elroy Saldanha and Mr. Dean Jones Vas hosted the event successfully.

The event saw the arrival of four additional guests midway, Mr. Melroy Prem, Central Council Vice-President; Mr. Prem Jeethan, Bantwal deanery President; Ms. Preemal Cutinho, Joint Secretary; PRO, Ms. Primal Pinto.

A vote of thanks was delivered by Henrietta Sequeira, ICYM Secretary acknowledging the dignitaries and all the contributors who were presented with ceremonial shawls. A word of gratitude was extended towards Mr. John for sounds, Evershine caterers for the refreshments, and all the ICYM members. The event was ably compered by Ms. Sonel Pinto, who ensured the smooth flow of the programme.

The programme concluded on a joyful note with ICYM members dancing under the rain shower.
