Bajpe, Aug 22 : On August 15, 2025, the ICYM Bajpe Unit, in association with St. Simon Pezar Deanery, successfully hosted "Krishi Khushi", a day focused on growing crops and learning cultivation techniques. The event took place at Paldodi Gado Ambikanagara, Bajpe.

The event commenced at 10:30 a.m. with a formal inaugural program. Dignitaries present on the dais included:
• Rev. Fr. Jesudas D'costa -Assistant Director, ICYM Bajpe, and Director, Pezar Deanery
• Mr. Stany D'Souza -Vice President, Bajpe Parish Council
• Mrs. Gracy Sequeira -Secretary, Bajpe Parish Council
• Mr. Ronald Rodrigues- Gurkar, Fathima I Ward
• Mr. Gration D'Souza -Gurkar, Fathima II Ward
• Miss Sonali Noronha -President, ICYM Pezar Deanery
• ICYM Animator, President, and Secretary

The event began with a hymn led by ICYM members, followed by a warm welcome address by Sonali Noronha, President of ICYM Pezar Deanery. Rev.Fr. Jesudas D'costa Assistant Director of ICYM Bajpe, and Director of Pezar Deanery inaugurated the program by presenting ‘Naze Pendyo’ to the presidents of each unit.

Rev. Fr. Jesudas D'costa emphasized the importance of working in the field and appreciated the members for organizing the event. Mementos were presented to those who contributed to the event's success.

ICYM Secretary Ashel Rosario delivered the vote of thanks.

Subsequently, the youth participated in a hands-on cultivation session, learning to crop paddy under the guidance of Fathima Ward members. The event concluded around 1:00 p.m., followed by lunch.

The "Krishi Khushi" event provided a valuable opportunity for members to learn cultivation techniques and work together.
