Fajir - Mangaluru, Aug 21 : ICYM Fajir Unit organized an enriching orientation programme for the parish youth -'Youth Flare 2025 : Igniting Faith, Leadership, and Togetherness', on August 10th 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Church hall Fajir. The event began at 08.15 a.m. with registrations and breakfast.

The ICYM President Freckson Dsouza escorted the guests to the dais. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas, Br . Melroy Dsouza , Mr. Mithesh Dsouza , Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice President Mr. Valerian Dsouza and Secretary Mr. Preetham Noronha , Mr. Flywan Dsouza Co-ordinator of 21 Commissions , ICYM Fajir Animator Mr. Santhosh Gonsalves, ICYM Fajir president Freckson Dsouza and Secretary Anisha Dsouza were present on the dais.

The event began with a meaningful prayer service, invoking God's blessings for the success of the programme. This was followed by the unveiling of the banner of Youth Flare 2025, which symbolized the passion and purpose of the youth, rooted in the light of Christ and guided towards a meaningful future. The ICYM Fajir unit president Mr. Freckson D'souza welcomed the gathering. The parish priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas delivered the presidential address.

The event was then taken over by the resource person of the day, Mr. Mithesh D'Souza. The sessions focused on the themes of prayer, leadership, and communication, enabling the participants to reflect on the importance of faith, develop leadership qualities, and build effective interpersonal skills.

ICYM South Deanery, Director Rev. Fr. Vikas Pereira , President Ms Rishal Dsouza (South Deanery), Secretary ICYM Mangalore Diocese -Ms. Maria Dsilva , Amcho Yuvak Editor ICYM Mangalore Diocese - Mr Royston Rodrigues visited and encouraged the youth.

Anisha Dsouza the secretary of the ICYM Fajir unit delivered the vote of thanks. The whole program was smoothly compered by Ms. Jeswita Crasta . The event witnessed the active participation of 80 attendees.
