Surathkal, Aug 21 : ICYM Mother Theresa Deanery, Surathkal, organised Yuva Milan 2025 on 10th August 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Mukka School Hall. The event brought together 88 youths for a day of fun, learning, and fellowship.
The programme began with a soulful prayer song, followed by a formal inaugural ceremony graced by eminent dignitaries:

Mr. Ajith Dsouza, ICYM Deanery President, warmly welcomed the dignitaries and participants. The programme was formally inaugurated by Very Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres, who inspired the youth with his motivating address. The stage event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sweedel Rodrigues.
Sessions
1. Stress and Anxiety Management – “Finding Peace in Chaos” by Dr. Caroline Dsouza, offering valuable insights on coping with challenges.
2. Entrepreneurship – “Turning Passion into a Career” by Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, encouraging youth to convert passion into profession.
Holy Eucharistic Celebration
A solemn Holy Eucharistic Celebration was held with Rev. Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, as the main celebrant, concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Praveen Dsouza and Fr. Stany Pinto.
Post-Lunch Activities
The afternoon came alive with action songs and fun activities conducted by the DEXCO members of 2024–25. Through group challenges, interactive games, and energetic icebreakers, the youth experienced the joy of working together, strengthening friendships and fostering a sense of unity within the deanery.
The entire programme was ably compered by Ms. Lavisha D'Almeida, an ICYM member, who maintained an engaging flow throughout the day. In conclusion, Fr. Stany Pinto, Director of Surathkal Deanery, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all for their support and enthusiastic participation.
