Manjeshwar, Aug 13 : ICYM unit of Our Lady Of Mercy Church , Manjeshwar organized a Voviyo Verse Competition in collaboration with the parish Catholic Sabha and Stree Sanghatan units, on the occasion of Konkani Manyatha Divas, on 10th August 2025 in the church hall at 2.00 pm.
Parish Priest Fr. Edwin Francis Pinto, guest parish priest Fr. Gregory Periera of Mariashram parish, parish vice president Mr. Vijith Dsouza, Parish secretary Mrs. Christine Dsouza, All groups Coordinator, along with president of Stree Sanghatan Mrs Reena Monteiro, Coordinator of Stree Sanghatan of vicariate Mrs. Laveena Monteiro, president of Catholic Sabha Mr. Franky Monteiro were the dignitaries on dais.

Mr. Anil D'cunha and Mrs. Irene Rebello were the judges of the Voviyo Vers Competition.
For the competition, from the vicariate parishes 7 teams registered their names, each team consisted of 6 - 10 members. All the teams performed well in the competition.
The results were :
1st place was secured by Mariashram , 2nd place by Bovikana, and 3 rd place by Vorkady parish.
President and judges announced the results and awarded the prizes. All the participants were given consolation prizes.
Mrs Wilma Dsouza and Mrs Reena Monteiro Conducted the program. President of ICYM Miss Deena Dsouza Welcomed the dignitaries, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Rhekha Monteiro.
The Event was a huge success, with nearly 200 people present on that day.
