Ranipura - Mangaluru, Aug 12, 2025 : On Sunday, August 3rd, ICYM unit of Our Lady, the Queen of the Universe Church, Ranipura conducted "HYDRO SPLASH" event in the school premises of Ranipura.

The event began at 2:00pm with a prayer service held by the members of ICYM Ranipura.

The event mainly focused on uniting the parishioners of Ranipura and having fun for a day in between their busy chaotic schedules.

As part of the inauguration ceremony, a box with an official banner of "HYDRO SPLASH" was designed and was filled with confetti balls. During the ceremony, the box was opened, releasing a burst of confetti, and revealing the banner. This creative gesture not only added a touch of fun to the event but also symbolized the vibrant and dynamic spirit of the unit.

Ms. Jesmitha ICYM unit President welcomed the gathering.

Rev Fr.Jayaprakash D'Souza ICYM unit director, Br.Loyd D'Souza ICYM unit animator Sr. Lavita Dais ICYM animator, Ms. Anisha Neetha Dsouza ICYM animator, Mr.Arun Monteiro Parish council Vice president, Mr.Nevil Dsouza coordinator of the commissions, Mrs. Wilma D'Souza parish council secretary, Ms. Jesmitha Dsouza ICYM unit president, Ms. Sandria Dsouza ICYM unit secretary were the guests of the day.

Rev. Fr. Vikas Pereira south deanery director, Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza ICYM Mangalore President, Ms. Muriel Mascarenhas ICYM Mangalore Social cause secretary, Mr. Floyd Pinto ICYM Mangalore joint secretary, Rev. Fr. Avith Pais presided over the programme.

Rev. Fr. John Lobo emphasised the importance of team spirit - "Champions, let's give it our all! Let's run with passion, play with heart, and strive for excellence. Every game, every moment counts. Let's support each other, lift each other up, and celebrate our wins together. Let's show our team spirit and never give up. Let’s make this season unforgettable and leave everything on the field!".

Several individual and ward games were conducted throughout the afternoon and in the evening. Prizes were given to the best performing wards and everyone enjoyed some baila and rain dance at the end. The day was packed with fun, energy and enthusiasm.

Ms. Muriel Dsouza emceed the programme. Ms. Sandria unit secretary delivered the vote of thanks.

The programme ended with the ICYM anthem.
