Moodbidri, Aug 8 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of St. Matthew Central Deanery, Moodbidri, successfully organized the screening of the much-awaited Konkani movie "Fondacho Mister" at Kannada Bhavana, Moodbidri, on Sunday, 27th July 2025.

To accommodate the large public interest, four shows were arranged throughout the day at the following timings:
8:00 AM , 2:00 PM , 5:00 PM , 8:00 PM

The event witnessed the gracious presence of the movie's key contributors—producer, director, writer, and actor Rayan Magneto, renowned Konkani personality Melwyn Pernal, and Leston Nazareth, a talented actor hailing from the Moodbidri deanery itself. Their presence added to the enthusiasm and excitement of the attendees.

The movie received positive reviews from the audience across all shows. The captivating storyline, cultural relevance, and strong performances were appreciated by the viewers. Notably, several parish priests from the deanery also attended and lauded the effort to promote regional cinema.

The ICYM St. Matthew Central Deanery Council took the lead in arranging the hall and managing all logistical aspects of the program. Their commitment and coordination ensured smooth screenings and a delightful experience for the audience.

In a special gesture, the council felicitated Mr. Leston Nazareth, celebrating the homegrown talent and his contribution to the film. This moment of pride resonated deeply with the youth and attendees present.
