Vorkady, Aug 5 : The ICYM Vorkady unit organized the event "YOUNITE 2025: Together We Rise" for the youth of Vorkady parish aged 18-28 on July 27, 2025 at 10 am, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Vorkady, Church Hall. This event brought together youth for a day of fun, learning, and bonding. Total youths participated were 83.

- Mr. Elson D'Souza, Hirgan (Resource Person)
- Sr. Severine D'Cunha, Unit animator
- Dr. Steevan D'Souza, Unit Animator

Program Highlights:

The program began with a prayer song by ICYM members, setting a spiritual tone for the event. The Emcee was led by Ms. Lavina D Souza, unit auditor.

ICYM Executive Committee members welcomed the gathering with a heartwarming gesture, formed a semi-circle of love, with each member presenting roses to the guests, symbolizing unity and respect.

The inaugural ceremony of YOUNITE 2025 was a unique and symbolic event. The guests of honor were invited to attach each letter of "YOUNITE 2025" to a banana plant, marking the official beginning of the event. As each guest attached a letter, it built up to reveal the full title "YOUNITE 2025," creating a sense of anticipation and excitement. The ceremony marked the official start of the YOUNITE 2025 event, setting the tone for the activities and sessions that followed.

Resource Person:
Mr. Elson D Souza, Hirgan was introduced by Ms. Sonal Veigas, unit treasurer. He led the participants in action songs, dance, group activities, games and moral thinking, importance of ICYM/ Youth movement in life.

Activities and Sessions: 
- Morning Session: Mr. Elson Hirgan led the participants in various activities, including action songs, dance, and games.
  Lunch was provided to the youths who attended the event.
- Afternoon Session: The unit animator, Dr. Steevan D'Souza and ICYM Executive Committee led the afternoon session, which included games and action songs.

The program was also blessed with the presence of ICYM Central Council President Mr. Vijoy and members, ICYM Kasaragod Deanery President Mr. Chethan, and Deanery Director Rev. Fr. Vishal Monis, whose presence added great value and encouragement to the gathering.

Conclusion :

The unit Secretary, Mr. Ristan D Souza, gave a vote of thanks. The event concluded with an ice cream treat, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere.

The "YOUNITE 2025: Together We Rise" event was a successful gathering of youth of Vorkady, promoting unity, fun, and spiritual growth. With 83 participants and esteemed guests in attendance, the event was well-attended and engaging.
