Surathkal, Aug 3 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Surathkal Unit, successfully organized “Zestopia 2025”, a one-day youth program, on July 27, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Sacred Heart Church Hall, Surathkal. The event brought together the enthusiastic youth of Surathkal Parish for a day of learning, inspiration, and fellowship.

The event commenced with a soulful prayer song, followed by a formal inaugural ceremony. The occasion was honoured by the presence of several dignitaries: Very Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres – Vicar Forane of Surathkal Deanery and Director of ICYM Surathkal, Fr. Johnson Denzil Pereira – Assistant Director, ICYM Surathkal, Fr. Wilson Tauro, Mr. Russel – Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs. Asha Pinto – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, Mr. Norbert Misquith – 21 Aayog Sanchalak, Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza – President, ICYM Central Council, Ms. Muriel Mascarenhas – Social Cause Secretary, ICYM Mangalore Diocese & Deanery Representative,Mr. Sandeep Dsouza – ICYM Animator, Mr. Ajith Dsouza – Deanery President. Ms. Vinola Delina Crasta, ICYM Surathkal President, warmly welcomed the dignitaries and participants.

The program was formally inaugurated by Very Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres, who addressed the youth with encouraging words. The event featured two engaging sessions:

Session 1: Motivation & Ice-Breakers
• An energizing ice-breaking activity and action song set the tone.
• A motivational talk on the theme “Don’t Wait to Be Great” was delivered by Mr. Winston Anil Lobo, an inspiring teacher and renowned speaker.

Session 2: Skill Building
• A dynamic session on Time Management by Fr. Johnson Denzil Pereira emphasized the importance of discipline and focus in youth life.
• This was followed by a second round of action songs and fun-filled group games that fostered camaraderie and teamwork

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Royston Rodrigues, ICYM Secretary. The entire program was ably compered by Mr. Nikhil Albuquerque, an ICYM member, who kept the energy and flow engaging throughout the day.
