Vittla, July 27 : The journey of the KRYC Cross under the banner of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), St. John Paul II, Vitla Deanery, commenced with great reverence on 16th July 2025 at 5:30 PM, as the Cross was received with devotion at Salettur Church from the St. Joseph Vaz Mangalore South Deanery.

This sacred pilgrimage saw vibrant participation from the youth across the deanery. The Cross was taken in procession atop an open vehicle, allowing parishioners and passersby to witness and engage in this powerful spiritual movement.

On 16th July, the Cross arrived at Salettur Church from Ammembal Church of the St. Joseph Vaz Mangalore South Deanery. The ICYM Salettur unit led a heartfelt prayer service, joined by numerous parishioners, marking a spiritually uplifting beginning to the journey.

On 20th July, the Cross reached Vittla Church, where the ICYM Vittla unit organized another meaningful prayer gathering. Parishioners participated in large numbers with deep devotion. Following the service, refreshments were shared, encouraging fellowship and community spirit among the youth.

The journey concluded on 23rd July 2025, as the Cross was handed over to Uppinangady Church of the Puttur Deanery, signifying the end of a deeply enriching and spiritually unifying experience.

This memorable journey of the KRYC Cross served not only to strengthen the faith of the youth but also to foster a profound sense of unity, devotion, and community across the parishes of the deanery.
