Mangaluru, July 26 : The ICYM Central Council of Mangalore Diocese successfully organized the SPARK leadership training program on July 19th-20th, 2025, at Olivet House, Jeppu. The event was themed "SPARK – Synergizing Passion and Responsibility to Kindle Leadership".

The program began with a warm welcome address by Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese. The event was officially inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese.

A highlight of the event was the launch of new ICYM initiatives by Msgr. Maxim Noronha, Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore. These initiatives included the launch of the ICYM Mangalore Diocese Channel. Msgr. Maxim Noronha praised the commitment and service of the youth leaders and encouraged them to utilize such opportunities to the fullest.

The program also featured the first Council meeting of the term, providing a platform for members to share their ideas and propose programs for the upcoming year. This was followed by a sharing session by all council members, fostering collaboration and creativity among the participants.

The day's events concluded with the recitation of the rosary with all council members, followed by dinner.

The SPARK leadership training program was a significant success, equipping council members with essential leadership skills and knowledge to excel in their respective roles.
