Fajir, July 25 : On 20th July 2025, ICYM members of Our Lady of Mercy Church , Fajir visited Olavinahalli Ashram with a guidance and support from the Director Fr Joseph Mascarenhas. There were 28 participants, along with Animator Mr. Santhosh Gonsalves, President Freckson Ashton Dsouza, and Secretary Anisha Dsouza.

Sr. Illen, Administrator of Olavinahalli Ashram, extended a warm welcome to the youth, a total of 90 residents of the ashram were present.

The visit commenced at 9:00 AM and concluded at 11:00 AM, with ICYM members engaging in various activities with the Ashram residents.
During the visit, ICYM Fajir donated rice, grains, vegetables and other eatables to support the Ashram’s daily needs. They also organized dance, singing, action songs, and other interactive activities that brought joy to the residents.

The ICYM members had meaningful interactions, listening to the residents’ stories and experiences.

The Ashram visit was a resounding success, with both ICYM members and Ashram residents enjoying the activities and interactions. The Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Fajir, looks forward to continuing their community outreach initiatives and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
