Ranipura - Mangaluru, July 24, 2025 : On Sunday, July 20th ,the ICYM unit of Our Lady, the Queen of the Universe Church, Ranipura in collaboration with medical fraternity commission and youth commission conducted "Cancer awareness and free Homeopathic medical camp" in the church hall, Ranipura.

The event began at 8:45am with a prayer service from the members of ICYM Ranipura.
The event mainly focused on cancer awareness and how to fight Cancer.
Human heart model was done where the flow of blood was done as inauguration.
Mrs. Shanthi Dsouza member of the youth commission welcomed the gathering.

Rev Fr. Jayaprakash D'Souza ICYM unit director, Br. Loyd D'Souza ICYM unit animator Sr. Lavita Dais ICYM animator, Dr. Sr. Mable Dsouza incharge of youth commission, Mr. Arun Monteiro Parish council Vice president, Mr. Nevil Dsouza coordinator of all the commissions, Mrs. Wilma D'Souza parish council secretary, Mrs. Maria Shaila Dsouza incharge of health commission, Mrs Irene Dsouza member of women council, Ms. Jesmitha Dsouza ICYM unit president and 6 Homeopathy doctors were the guests.

Rev. Fr. Jayaprakash D'Souza ICYM unit director, emphasised the importance of our health, not to take cancer lightly, to take a quick treatment, and to help others when they are in need and to support them.

A small and meaningful talk on Cancer was given by Dr. Sr. Mabel Dsouza , where she shared some knowledge about the symptoms of cancer it's Treatment and a healthy diet that can be followed by everyone to prevent getting sick.

The event was emceed by Nishel Dsouza YCS member and the event concluded with the Vote of thanks by Mrs. Irene Dsouza.

At the end of the program free Blood pressure and Sugar test was taken and medicines where distributed.
