Mangaluru, July 24, 2025 : The Journey of the KRYC Cross, Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) St Joseph Vaz, Mangalore South Deanery, began on 8th July at 6:00 PM. The cross was first received at Bola Church from Kasaragod Deanery. The prayer service was led by the ICYM unit of Bola, and refreshments were served to all the youth gathered. With great devotion, the journey of the KRYC Cross began and continued across the deanery.
All the youth from the Mangalore South Deanery actively participated in this spiritual journey. The cross was carried from one parish to another through a procession with an open vehicle, allowing everyone to witness and be part of the sacred movement. This journey helped unite the youth in faith, prayer, and fellowship.

On 9th July, the cross was received at Panir Church and was later handed over to Permannur Church. On the same day, youth from Nithyadar Church were also present and participated in the event. On 11th July, the cross was handed over to Ranipura Church, followed by Elliyarpadav Church on 12th July.
The journey continued with the cross being received by Fajir Church on 13th July. On 14th July, it reached Mudipu Church, where youth from Vijayadka Church also took part in the procession and prayer services. On 15th July, the cross was handed over to Ammembal Church, where a Taizé prayer session was also held, adding a moment of silence and reflection to the experience.
Finally, on 16th July, the KRYC Cross was handed over to Vittla Deanery, marking the conclusion of a meaningful and prayerful journey. This spiritual event brought the youth closer to one another and helped strengthen their bond with Christ and the Church.
