Kirem, July 24, 2025 – ICYM unit of Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem successfully organized IGNITE 2025 on July 13, a dynamic youth gathering at the Bicentennial Hall, aimed at inspiring and uniting the parish youth through prayer, sessions, and engaging activities.

The event began with a prayer service, hosted by Priyanka Dsouza, and was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Oswald Monteiro in the presence of parish dignitaries. Mr. Royston Dsouza, President of ICYM Kirem, welcomed the gathering.

A felicitation ceremony honored youth leaders, followed by impactful sessions by Fr. Oswald Monteiro and Dr. Mona Mendonca. The ICYM Diocesan team also joined and encouraged the initiative.

A special Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr. Rupesh Madtha and Fr. Oswald, highlighting the role of youth in society.

For the first time, the youth prepared lunch for all attendees. The afternoon included team games and activities, with deanery leaders Cashwin and Stallan joining the closing session.

With around 50 participants, IGNITE 2025 was a memorable celebration of youth spirit. The day concluded with a vote of thanks, the ICYM Anthem, and emceeing by Gladvin Dsouza.
