Uppinangady, Julu 24, 2025 : The ICYM unit of Our Lady Virgin of the Poor Church, Uppinangady, hosted a vibrant and spirit-filled youth gathering titled "Yuva Sangam" on July 20th; at 9:00 am in St. Mary's School Hall, Uppinangady; bringing together the energetic youth of Parish.

Participants were welcomed with a warm breakfast.
Event began with a Prayer song, lead by ICYM Members.
Miss. Melita Dsouza gracefully hosted the event.
Mr. Vishal Pinto, President of ICYM Uppinangady Unit, welcomed the gathering.

The event was graced by esteemed guests:
Rev. Fr. Jerald Dsouza – ICYM Uppinangady Director
Fr. Sunil Pinto – ICYM Director, Puttur Deanery
Mr. Wilfred Dsouza – Secretary, Parish Council Uppinangady.
Mr. Naveen Braggs – Animator, ICYM Uppinangady
Mr. Niyan Sequeira – ICYM DEXCO Central Council Nominated Member as a Resource person.

The official inauguration took place with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

Rev. Fr. Jerald Dsouza addressed the gathering, emphasizing the long-term benefits of such youth programs in personal and spiritual development.

Fr. Sunil Pinto delivered an inspiring motivational talk on self-growth, positivity, and the power of ignoring negativity—leaving a deep impact on all attendees.

Adding to the energy, Mr. Niyan Sequeira conducted an interactive leadership session, filled with group activities and action songs.
He highlighted the importance and advantages of effective leadership among youth, keeping the crowd actively engaged.

Mr. Naveen Braggs led a meaningful session on the significant role youth play, not just within the Church but also in society, governance, and the corporate world.

The event concluded on a heartfelt note with mementos presented to the dignitaries as a token of appreciation.

Ms. Preemal Dcruz, ICYM Secretary, delivered the vote of thanks, and Mr. Vinush Dsouza gracefully wrapped up the event.

The program concluded with a delicious lunch, leaving everyone with full hearts and energized spirits.
