Kinnigoli, July 11 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) St. Jude Mangalore North Deanery held its annual elections for the term 2025–2026 on June 15th at 5:00 PM, at Our Immaculate Conception Church Hall, Kinnigoli.

The proceedings were overseen by Rev. Fr. Lancy Saldanha, along with Ms. Jasmitha Montherio, representative of ICYM North Deanery, and Dr. Joystan, Joint Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese.

The session commenced with a prayer service led by the executive team and members. Outgoing President Mr. Stallan Serrao (2024–2025) welcomed the gathering, followed by Ms. Sasha Sequeira, outgoing Secretary, who presented a detailed report on the activities and events conducted over the past year. Mr. Colin Dsouza, outgoing Treasurer, presented the financial report for 2024–2025.

Dr. Joystan then explained the rules and guidelines for the election, as well as the roles and responsibilities of each executive committee position. The elections were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, leading to the successful formation of the new committee.

Following the election, an oath-taking ceremony was held, administered by Rev. Fr. Lancy Saldanha, who emphasizing the importance of selfless service and dedication to the mission and values ICYM.

• Amcho Yuvak Pratinidhi: Ms. Sonia Sharal Pereira
• Red Drop Representative: Mr. Hanson Rodrigues
• Cultural Secretary: Mr. Alen Mendonca
• Sports Secretary: Mr. Lerron Pinto
• Social Cause Secretary: Ms. Sasha Ima Sequeira
• Immediate Past President: Mr. Stallan Serrao

Rev. Fr. Lancy Saldanha later addressed the youth, motivating towards the values of service, dedication and leadership.

Outgoing President Mr. Stallan Serrao extended his heartfelt thanks to the executive committee and acknowledged their support throughout his tenure. He also presented tokens of appreciation to the team.

Newly elected President Mr. Chaswin Tauro expressed his gratitude and humbly sought the cooperation and support of all members for the coming year.

The meeting concluded with the singing of the ICYM anthem.

The ICYM St. Jude Mangalore North Deanery remains committed in its mission to serve the Church and the community with enthusiasm, responsibility in the year ahead.
