Mangaluru, July 2 – The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Bejai Unit successfully organized an Investor Awareness Programme on Sunday, 29th June 2025, at the Bejai SFX School Hall. The event aimed to empower parishioners with knowledge about smart and responsible investing and saw enthusiastic participation from individuals of all age groups.
The session commenced at 10:30 a.m. with a welcome address by ICYM member Stacy Gonsalves, followed by an insightful talk by Mr. Leo Amal A., Senior Branch Manager at Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt. Ltd., Mangalore. Mr. Leo highlighted the importance of financial planning, explained key concepts of mutual fund investments, and provided practical tips for making informed financial decisions.

The event was graced by Fr. Johnson Sequeira, Assistant Director; Mr. Ashok Pinto, Vice President and Mrs. Avitha Pinto, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Parishad; and Mr. Godwin Pinto, 21 Commission Coordinator, along with a large number of parishioners and youth members.
The programme concluded with a fellowship lunch, providing an opportunity for attendees to interact and reflect on the session’s learnings.
This initiative reflects ICYM Bejai’s ongoing commitment to promoting financial literacy and community engagement.
